Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:

1. That the plans for the establishment of locality teams are endorsed.

2. That a further report be made to the Executive Member for Children's Services to highlight the evaluation of Phase One of the roll out and the implications for the future development of this service.

3. That Members should be consulted through the Hampshire Action Teams.

1 Reason

1.1 This decision supports the following Hampshire County Council priority:

"Making Hampshire safer and more secure for all" by establishing arrangements whereby needs of children and their families can be met at an earlier stage, and a team structure will exist to support a range of staff in meeting these needs.

"Maximise well being" by optimising the point at which services can be made available by a range of agencies and also responding to a wide range of needs to maximise the opportunities for all five outcomes for children to be met.

1.2 This decision supports the following Aims of the Children Act:

All five outcomes for children are supported due to the holistic nature of the CAF designed to ensure that needs are addressed.
