The school capacity is 875 and there are currently 888 pupils (11-16 years) in attendance.

1.2

Following advice from the Craft, Design and Technology (CDT) inspector, it is proposed to carry out a comprehensive improvement of the CDT facilities at the school to enable the school to respond to recent curriculum changes in the teaching of technology. The total estimated cost of the scheme is £275,000, excluding fees.

An allocation of £216,000, excluding fees, has been made in the Children's Services Capital Programme 2006/07. The School is making a contribution of £59,000, excluding fees.

Subject to the necessary approvals it is anticipated that tenders will be invited during January 2007, work will commence on site during April 2007 and be completed during August 2007.
