The following decision is sought: |

That the Executive Member for Education approves the design project appraisal for a two-classroom extension, at an estimated cost of up to £394,000, excluding fees. |
|

Reason |
|
|
2.1 |
To provide two permanent, purpose-built classrooms for use as music and IT spaces, thus facilitating the removal from site of a double temporary building which is in very poor condition. |
2.2 |
The replacement of a temporary building with purpose-built accommodation will enhance the quality of place for all users of Crofton Hammond Junior School. |

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need. |
