Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That, subject to the views of the Executive Member for Education, the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for a Post-16 building within the grounds of Henry Tyndale School, at an estimated cost of up to £684,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

The proposal to provide a purpose-built Post-16 building will improve the quality of accommodation and maximise well-being for all users.

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
