1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
That the Project Appraisal for the construction of a new footway and uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point on Normandy Way, Marchwood, to be externally funded at an estimated cost of £65,000, be approved.
2. Reason
2.1 This scheme will improve the safety of pedestrians that reside either side of Normandy Way, Marchwood wishing to gain access to Admiralty Quay and Old Magazine Close, Marchwood.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected
3.1 Due to the alignment of the carriageway there are no other options that will provide a safe pedestrian footway route from Marchwood village centre and the recent housing development at Admiralty Quay.
