Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That

i) approval be given to taking an assignment of a lease of The Original Place, 136 Purbrook Way, Leigh Park, for a term of 18 years as set out in the report, and

ii) the Director of Property, Business & Regulatory (Head of Estates) be authorised to settle other detailed terms and conditions.

Reason

2.1

This proposal supports the Corporate Priorities by enabling continuing provision of youth services and a meeting place for young people with improved facilities, equipment and premises, which will maximise the well-being of the young people.

3.1

Acquiring other premises in the locality. This was rejected because there are no premises which offer the same facilities as The Original Place.
