1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
To receive any apologies for absence.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
All members who believe they have a personal or a prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Fire Authority's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed. The declarations should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

To confirm the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 1 December, 2006.
4. CHAIRMAN'S COMMUNICATIONS
To receive any communications the Chairman may have for this meeting.
5. DEPUTATIONS
Pursuant to Standing Order 19, to receive any deputations to this meeting.
6. ESTABLISHMENT
To consider the report of the Chief Officer on the actual and authorised establishment as of 31 December, 2006.
7. LONG SERVICE INCREMENT AND CONTINUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
To consider the report of the Chief Officer on the final phase of the agreement to replace Long Service Increments with a national payment scheme for Continual Professional Development.
8. VERBAL UPDATE ON REGIONAL MANAGEMENT BOARD
To consider the verbal report of the Chief Officer on any human resources matters discussed at the meeting of the Regional Management Board held on 17 January 2007.
9. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC
To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during the following item of business, as it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during that item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within Paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, and further that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information, for the reasons set out in the report.
10. PRINCIPAL OFFICERS' LOCAL PAY AGREEMENT AND IMPLICATIONS FOR NEW SERVICE MANAGEMENT TEAM STRUCTURE
To consider the exempt report of the Chairman of the Principal Officers' Pay Review Group on their findings and recommendations for a local pay agreement.
