INQUIRIES RECEIVED AND ACTION TAKEN

1. The Committee continues to receive inquiries from partner organisations and County Councillors. At the last meeting Members were alerted to inquiries about Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust `Fit for the Future', Partnership working with the Healthcare Commission, The future of New Milton War Memorial and Fenwick Community Hospitals, Micheldever Branch Surgery closure and South Central Ambulance Service Implementing Call Costs.

2. The Committee received a presentation from Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust on its financial recovery plan, outlining what had been achieved and the key challenges. Proposals for the modernising of maternity services which included plans for the introduction of a midwife led unit at Winchester and new ways of working at Andover were also explained.

1. The responses made by the Committee influence and improve the delivery of Health Services in Hampshire and, in doing so, support the delivery of the Corporate Strategy aim of maximising well being.
