The lane is totally unsuitable and dangerous for the volume of traffic using it today. I extend whole hearted support for this closure.

The closure of Springles Lane is long overdue. The `access only' system has had severely limited success. Motorists take no notice of the signs unless there is police reinforcement. The single track means that passing motorists drive over verges and gardens to pass each other. We have been living in a third world mud and squalor and deserve better treatment than the last 10 years have provided.

Absolutely delighted that you have now publicly notified everyone concerned about the proposed lane closure. We look forward to the closure being implemented as soon as possible.

A closure will give us a lane where we can live safely and let our children cycle with us. Horse riders will be able to ride safely and cyclists will be encouraged. The erosion of the road surface will cease. We look forward to the closure.

My husband and I fully support the proposed closure of Springles Lane. The quantity of traffic that goes through the lane and the fact that it is so narrow and often the impatience of the drivers passing through make the lane awkward and potentially dangerous.

Please note that I and my family are in favour of a full closure in Springles Lane. This discussion is based on safety issues.
