Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that the refurbishment scheme at Amery Hill Secondary School, at an estimated cost of £519,000, excluding fees, is approved.

Reason

2.1

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for users by creating access for pupils with physical disabilities and by providing 100% access to the national curriculum.

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
