Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Education advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that the design project appraisal for the scheme at Kings Copse Primary School, Hedge End, at an estimated cost of £4,519,000, excluding fees, is approved.

Reason

2.1

To create a one-form entry primary school to replace the existing school on the Kings Copse site in Hedge End.

2.2

The provision of a new one-form entry primary school with visual impairment resource provision unit will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for all users of the school.

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
