SUMMARY OF EXEMPT DECISION

    1. Summary

    1.1. The following decision is sought:

    · That the organisation as detailed in the supporting exempt report be reappointed subject to agreement of the terms and conditions of contract to provide banking services to the County Council with effect from 1 June 2007 for an initial five-year period, with an option to extend the contract for up to a further ten years until 31 May 2022.

    1. Reason:

    1.1. This proposal does not link directly to the Corporate Strategy but it is essential that the County Council uses a banking service. The County Treasurer has a statutory duty to ensure that the Council's financial affairs are properly administered.

    3. Other Options considered and rejected: Not applicable.

    4. Conflicts of Interest declared by the decision maker or other Executive Member consulted - None.

    5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - None.

    6. Reason(s) for the matter being dealt with if urgent - Not applicable.
