Summary | |

That following decisions are sought: | |
That approval be given to: | ||
a) |
declare Hinton House and driveway surplus to County Council requirements (subject to the relocation of existing school uses) to allow it to be sold for residential re-use; | |
b) |
up to 100% of the net sale proceeds being retained by Children's Services as a reinvestment scheme to finance the extension of the retained Kings Worthy Primary School, to enable the whole school to operate from one building; and | |
c) |
seek planning consent for the change of use of Hinton House and surplus land to residential, and to enter into any necessary legal agreements with the Local Planning Authority to secure such consents. | |

Reasons | |
2.1 |
These decisions support the following Hampshire County Council priorities: | |
i) |
Making Hampshire safer and more secure for all, by helping young people to live positive lives by providing improved school premises to help give the best start possible through our education system. | |
ii) |
Enhancing our quality of place, by ensuring that Hinton House is returned to an appropriate use which contributes positively to the local environment. | |
