Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the refurbishment scheme at Amery Hill Secondary School, at an estimated cost of £519,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To undertake improvement/enhancement works in readiness for the arrival of pupils with physical disabilities in the autumn term of 2007.

2.2

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for users by creating access for pupils with physical disabilities and by providing 100% access to the national curriculum.

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
