    Summary

1.1

    The following decisions are sought:

    That approval be given to:

    a) The disposal of 0.4 hectares (0.99 acres) of land being the site of 239/241 Hunts Pond Road, Fareham on the basis of a joint sale with the adjoining owners land as set out in the report.

    b) The Director of Property Business and Regulatory Services, Head of Estates be authorised to accept the best offer received and to settle detailed terms and conditions.

    c) That in the event that the selected purchaser does not proceed within an appropriate timescale, authority be granted to the Director of Property Business and Regulatory Services (Head of Estates) to negotiate the sale to the next best offeror.

    Reason

2.1

    To secure a capital receipt from the sale of this surplus property, which will enable housing development of this and the adjoining owner's site in a co-ordinated manner to enhance our quality of place.

    Other options considered and rejected

3.1

    A planning marketing and disposal strategy separate from the adjoining land owner - rejected as less appropriate than a joint disposal strategy.
