The following decision is sought: |
a) That approval be given to the leasing of accommodation in various County Council owned and managed depots to the successful tenderers under the Term Highways Contract subject to the director of Property Business and Regulatory Services (Head of Estates) being authorised to settle detailed terms and conditions. |
2 |
Reasons |
2.1 |
Approval is sought to grant legal interests in the County Council's land to secure the better performance of the Highways Term Contract, which affects the proper management of the County Council's property assets. |

Other options considered and rejected |
3.1 |
Declining to make depot accommodation available to the successful contractor. This option has been rejected on the grounds that the efficient performance of the Highways Term Contract would be adversely affected with the likely result that the costs to the County Council would be significantly increased. |
