Summary

1.1

This oral report provides a summary of the NASACRE (National Association of SACREs) meeting held in Birmingham on 8 May 2007.

This report supports the Corporate Strategy in terms of maximising well being.

That SACRE note the report and consider how initiatives reported on from this national meeting could contribute to its development plan.

Background

3.1

The Chair of SACRE and the County Inspectors for RE attended the above national meeting. The agenda included an annual general meeting of NASACRE, a keynote address by Brian Gates, Chair of the RE Council and another keynote address by Rev. Nims Obunge from the Freedoms Ark Church and CEO of the Peace Alliance. The procedures of the day are reported in Appendix 1.
