Notes of a Meeting held on Tuesday 15th May 2007, 10:00am

Sir George Staunton Country Park

Present: Paul Thomson, Hampshire County Council (now permanently replacing John Tickle on the Officers Group).

      Mike Walls, Hampshire County Council (now permanently replacing Bevis Ingram on the Officers Group).

    2. Notes of Officers Group Meeting

    The notes of the meeting held on 17th October 2006 were agreed as a correct record.

    All actions had been completed.

    3. Minutes of Stakeholder Forum.

    The minutes of the Stakeholder Forum held on 17th April 2007 were noted.

    4. Park Managers Update.

    The Park Manager updated members of the group on developments since his last report.

    Further detail of Easter and May half term trading will be provided in Park Managers presentation to Joint Management Committee.

    The Park Manager will include in his report to the Joint Management Committee details of measures being put in place to reduce pressures on parking and catering experienced during the busy Easter period.

    The Park Manager will prepare a report for Joint Management Committee outlining current staffing levels and proposed recruitment in line with the Parks ten year plan.

    Following the Joint Management Committee it was proposed that a short tour of the site be offered to members.

    5. Treasurers Update.

    Mike Walls updated the group on the financial outturn for 2006/07.

    The group noted that the Park had improved the return on the 2006/07 revised budget and cleared the revenue account deficit one year ahead of schedule. They went on to discuss variances across some of the operational budgets.

    The forecast revenue budget for 2007/08, giving a breakdown of income and expenditure attributable to each aspect of the Park's operation and highlighting significant pressures will be prepared for the Joint Management Committee.
