Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That approval be given to the scheme at Bay House School, Alverstoke, Gosport, at an estimated cost of £2,500,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To improve facilities for sixth formers in the Gosport area by providing a dedicated centre for vocational and technological courses.

2.2

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for users by providing additional purpose-built sixth form facilities.

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
