Summary
Paragraph 1.17 of Part 3:D of the County Council constitution states that decisions taken as a matter of urgency must be reported by the Chief Executive to the next appropriate meeting of the relevant Select Committee, together with the reasons for the urgency.
On 17 May 2007 the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services approved as matter of urgency the attached exempt report entitled "Commissioning Strategy for Children in Care and for those on the Edge of Care". This decision was deemed urgent to avoid delay in commencing consultation on the future of a residential care home.
