1 Summary

1.1 The University of Winchester is promoting a project to improve the sports facilities at Bar End, Winchester available for university and community use and has sought a grant from the County Council to complete the funding package.

1.2 The following decision is sought:

To approve a grant of £210,000 to the University of Winchester towards the Bar End Community Sports Centre project.

2.1 The proposed scheme will contribute to maximising the wellbeing of Hampshire residents.
