Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Lead Member approves the scheme at Riverside Community Special School, Purbrook, Waterlooville, at an estimated cost of £541,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To provide a purpose-built classroom to replace the existing temporary building which is in poor condition.

2.2

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for users of the new accommodation.

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
