Report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services

Summary

The following decisions are sought:

1.1

That the additional works and funding for schemes at Cove School, Henry Tyndale School, Pinewood School, Amery Hill Secondary School, Burnham Copse School, Dowd's Farm School, Grayshott Primary School, Kings Copse School and Lantern's Children's Centre be approved.

1.2

That the overall position of the major capital projects being undertaken by the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services be approved.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide enhanced school accommodation and facilities.

2.2

The schemes within this report generally reflect the priorities in the Corporate Strategy by providing excellent school facilities which enhance the quality of place, providing safer and more accessible facilities and maximising well-being, thus benefiting all users of the premises.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
