1. Summary:

1.l That Councillor Mrs. K. Heron be appointed as the County Council's representative to serve on the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - Partnership Panel, in place of Councillor J. K. Glen.

2. Reason

2.1 The former Executive Member for Environment (North Hampshire and Spatial Strategy) served as the County Council's representative. He now wishes to stand down in favour of Councillor Mrs. Heron, whose electoral division adjoins Cranborne Chase. This change will secure continued County Council involvement in the affairs of the Partnership Panel.

3. Other options considered and rejected

3.1 Not appointing a representative, or appointing a member from another area of Hampshire, both of which might lead to potential loss of influence and local knowledge.

4. Conflicts of interest declared by the decision maker or other Executive Member consulted - none

5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - none

6. Reasons for the matter being dealt with as urgent - none.
