Library charges for implementation in April 2008

1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought: that the Executive Member for Recreation & Heritage approve the following recommendations;

i) That from 1 April 2008 the request/inter library loan charges be set at:

In county stock: 50p

Inter Library Loan: £1:50

Urgent Inter Library Loan: £2:50

International Inter Library Loan: £8

ii) That from 1 April 2008, the charge for a subject search be set at: £3

2. Reason

2.1 To more accurately reflect the true cost of providing request/inter library loan services. This decision links to the Corporate Priority of Maximising Well-being, by providing improved services to Library users.

3. Other Options Considered and Rejected

- to make no change to the current charging arrangement.
