1. Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:

(i) That approval be given to the introduction of on-street parking charges in Hart in accordance with Section 45 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(ii) That the levels of charge be approved at a rate which reflects the current Hart District Council off-street charges for short-term parking and that a premium rate, currently £5.00, be applied for all day parking.

2. Reason

2.1 This decision will control parking demand, increase the use of off-street car parks and maintain access and availability of prime on-street parking spaces to those who need them.

3.1 There is no other suitable alternative.
