2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

RESOLVED:

That Councillor T.K. Thornber be appointed Chairman of the Panel.

4 EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED:

That, by virtue of paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public were excluded from the meeting.

5 APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES (CONFIDENTIAL)

The Panel considered the confidential details of the short-listed candidate for the post of Director of Human Resources. They received a briefing from the Chief Executive prior to the interview with the candidate. After full consideration it was

RESOLVED:

That the Cabinet be advised that the Panel recommend the appointment of Gavin Wright.
