1 At its meeting on 10 July, this Committee agreed its new approach to Budget and Performance monitoring.

2 The approach included the presentation, at around October/November, of Council wide half year performance results and financial monitoring. This meeting of the select committee comes a little early for presentation of a detailed half yearly report. However, at its meeting on 24 September, the Cabinet approved a budget monitoring update for 2007/08, which linked financial monitoring to a range of non financial performance and activity indicators. That report is therefore being submitted to the Committee for consideration.
