1. Summary
1.1 The following decisions are sought:
(i) That the Traffic Regulation Order for Bedhampton Hill, Havant, as detailed in Appendix 2 and as set out on drawing number Hi12/253, be made.
(ii) That a review of the order be undertaken after six months and a further report be submitted on the findings of the monitoring of the order.
2. Reason
2.1 The proposal as advertised will secure the visibility required to facilitate the re-development of 49 Bedhampton Hill in accordance with the Planning Inspector's assessment of the visibility splay required for safe access.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected
3.1 Do nothing is not an option as this would compromise the safety of vehicles using the 49 Bedhampton Hill vehicular access and highway users on the Bedhampton Hill.
3.2 A comprehensive Traffic Regulation Order promoted in 2006 to address all traffic issues in the area potentially resulting from the development raised the same volume and type of objections as this Order.
4. Conflicts of Interest Declared by the Decision Maker or Other Executive Member Consulted - None.
5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - None.
6. Reason(s) for the Matter being dealt with if Urgent - None.
