2.1 |
It is County Council policy to review the level of rents charged to its residential tenants on 1 April each year, and it is proposed to do so in 2008. The proposed increase of 5% takes account of research undertaken into rises in levels of rents in both the public and private sectors.
2.2 |
The proposal does not link to the Corporate Strategy, but a decision is required to ensure that an appropriate level of rental income is generated for use in the proper management of the County Council's residential estate.
