1 Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
1. That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) supports the recommendations for the continuation and adaptation of the pupil attitude survey in future years.
2.1 This decision supports the following Hampshire County Council priority:
"Making Hampshire safer and more secure for all" - by giving schools information on pupils' perceptions of bullying and racial abuse so that more can be done by schools to reduce the incidence
"Maximising well-being" - by giving schools information about how well children and young people enjoy their education in Hampshire schools so they can take action to improve further the positive attitudes evidenced in this survey
2.2 The decision supports the following Aims of the Children Act:
By giving schools information to enable staff to improve the quality of education so that children and young people feel safe from bullying and racial abuse, learn to live healthy lives and enjoy their education so that they achieve well.
