1 Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

a) The Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) note the activity in section 3 and authorise officers to continue progressing the implementation of the recommendations agreed at Executive Members Decision Day, 11 October 2007.

b) The Executive Member to receive a further progress report in March prior to the transfer date of the workforce of South Central Connexions Partnership into Hampshire County Council Children's Services Department.

c) This report in March should put particular emphasis on the communications strategy to support implementation.

2 Reason

2.1 This decision supports all three of the Hampshire County Council priorities:

Making Hampshire safer and more secure for all.

Maximising well-being.

Enhancing our quality of place.

2.2 The decision supports all the Aims of the Children Act 2004.
