1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That a revenue grant of £23,000 be made to the Prince's Trust for the current financial year (2007/08), and that this be followed by two subsequent payments of £23,600 and £24,200 respectively, over the proceeding two years (2008/09 and 2009/10).

2. Reason(s)

2.1 To respond to a request from the Prince's Trust for continuation of core funding for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Office last agreed in a report to the Executive Member in July 2004.

2.2 This decision supports the Corporate priority to maximise well-being by helping disadvantaged young people overcome barriers, and also to make Hampshire safer and more secure for all by helping people who may otherwise have turned to crime, to make the most of their potential and take a different path to the future.
