Draft Integrated Risk Management Plan 2008 - 2011: feedback from stakeholder consultation and revisions to the corporate objectives

	1		Summary

	1.1		Following extensive consultation with key stakeholders, the proposed corporate objectives for the Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) 2008 - 2011 (previously presented to the Authority in September 2007), have been reviewed and revised. A summary of consultation feedback is set out in Appendix 1 and a presentation will be given at the meeting explaining how this has led to some proposed changes. The proposal relating to Copnor Fire Station generated the greatest level of comment and an additional presentation will focus on this objective.

	2		Recommendations

	2.1		That Members note the summary of stakeholder feedback set out as Appendix 1 to this report.

	2.2		That the new title, "The Fire and Rescue Plan 2008 - 2011", and general format and content of the draft Integrated Risk Management Plan as set out in Appendix 2 to this report be approved.

	2.3		That the revised corporate objectives:

* Note: The public open meeting on the 26^th November 2007 at St. Albans Church, Copnor, Portsmouth was an additional event due to the overwhelming demand displayed at the first meeting held on the 29^th October 2007 when many people were unable to be accommodated.

4	Consultation feedback

4.1	All comments, views and opinions expressed throughout the consultation process were recorded and a summary including data from responses received via questionnaires on our website is attached as Appendix 1.

4.2	The consultation also provided an avenue for feedback on the proposed new layout and title of the IRMP. Details of feedback on this is also summarised in the Appendix.

4.3	The feedback we have received has led to 15 of the 18 original proposed objectives being amended. This will be explained in the presentation at the meeting.

5	Equality Impact Assessment

5.1	The proposals within this report are considered compatible with the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights, the Human Rights Act 1998, and the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000.
