Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That approval be given to the scheme for the Andover Education Centre (formerly Shepherd's Spring Junior School) at an estimated cost of £1,716,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To facilitate the relocation of the existing Education Centre from its current location within Cricklade College into refurbished accommodation at the former Shepherd's Spring Junior School building.

2.2

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for users.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
