The following decisions are sought: | |
That approval be given to: | ||
a) Declare surplus to County Council requirements approximately 1.89 ha (4.67 acres) of land at the western end of Warblington School for disposal in accordance with the provisions of this report. | ||
b) Up to 100% of the net sale proceeds be reinvested in sports and environmental facilities at Warblington and Fairfield Schools. | ||
c) Approximately 0.2 ha (0.49 acres) of land adjoining Fairfield School be appropriated from Environment to Children's Services for use as the new Environmental area for Fairfield School. | ||
d) A further report detailing the results of the marketing exercise be brought to the Executive Member (Policy & Resources) in due course. | ||

2.1 |
This decision supports the following Hampshire County Council priorities: | |
· |
Hampshire safer and more secure for all by improving safety for children at Fairfield Infant School and Bosmere Junior School by providing a new, safer route to school. | |
· |
Maximising wellbeing by providing new sports facilities for Warblington School, other schools in the area and for the benefit of the wider community. | |
· |
Enhancing our quality of place by guiding the principles of new housing on surplus County Council land. | |
