County Farms Estate - Termination and Reletting of Tenancy

Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That:

a) approval be given to terminate the Farm Business Tenancy at Yew Tree Farm, Compton;

b) the Acting Director of Property, Business & Regulatory Services (Head of Estates) be authorised to relet Yew Tree Farm as set out in the report; and

c) in the event of any tenant failing to comply with the rental provision of the lease, or amended repayment arrangements previously approved by the Executive Member for Policy & Resources (Head of Estates) be authorised to commence immediate forfeiture proceedings to recover possession of the County Council Farm Holding.

Reason

2.1

The decision supports the following Corporate Priority of enhancing our quality of place through the effective management of this County Farm holding by the introduction of a new tenant.

Continuing arrangements which have been put in place to support the tenant's payment of obligations under his Farm Business Tenancy.
