1.1 |
The Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel advises the Executive Member for Policy and Resources that authority should be given to:
|
|
|
|
a) the disposal of Hinton House and driveway including approximately 1.0 ha (2.5 acres) of land adjoining Kings Worthy Primary School to the purchaser named in the report or, if satisfactory proposals cannot be agreed with this party, that approval be given to proceed on a similar basis with the disposal to the next highest bidder who can proceed unconditionally on a basis which meets the requirements of the Principles of Conversion. |

b) the Acting Director of Property Business and Regulatory Services be authorised to settle detailed terms and conditions, including any adjustments to the purchase price that may be agreed in order to meet the requirements of the County Council. |

Enhancing our quality of place, by ensuring that Hinton House is returned to an appropriate use which contributes positively to the local environment.

Other options considered and rejected
|

None. The proposals retain a site for Kings Worthy Primary School of approximately 2.35 ha, which is well suited to meet the full educational need including for a playing field. The guideline site area for a school of this size is 1.525 ha.
