Care at End of Life

An update is to be provided to the Committee at the 27 May meeting by key representatives of the Care at End of Life Steering Group. The Steering Group brings together Hampshire PCT, Hampshire County Council's Adult Services, statutory and independent providers of palliative and end of life care services. Their presentation will include:

· Achievements and progress made over the nine months since the group was formed

· Indicative targets and issues to be addressed over the next year

· An update on the national picture and the role of Hampshire in influencing and supporting the national agenda

Presenting the update will be:

· Elizabeth Emms, Head of Adult Services SE, Hampshire PCT

· Clare Hooke, Strategic Commissioning Manager - Older People, HCC

· Dr Mark Roland, Consultant Respiratory Physician and Head of Cancer Services, Portsmouth Hospitals Trust

· Sue Damarell-Kewell, Head of Strategy and Planning for Commissioning, Hampshire PCT
