Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Policy and Resources approves the design project appraisal for the scheme to provide a new Primary School at Abbott's Ann, Andover, at an estimated total cost of £3,380,000, excluding fees, for the building and a further £300,000 for the purchase of the long lease for the land required to facilitate the project.

Reason

2.1

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place by providing a purpose-built primary school with attached playing field to replace the existing undersized building, thus benefiting all users of the facility.

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
