1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
To note the 20% increase in visitors to Milestones, Hampshire's Living History Museum and to approve the development plans for Milestones set out below and the setting up of an Advisory & Advocacy Board for Milestones, the Willis Museum and Basing House.
2. Reasons for the Recommendation
2.1 Maximising well being : impact on large number of residents, increasing participation from non participants, school visits form Hampshire Schools in educational groups. Increasing participation in cultural activity.
Contributing to economic impact of tourism and positive perceptions of Hampshire and Basingstoke.
2.2 Enhancing our quality of place: increasing understanding and enjoyment of Hampshire's history, wider knowledge of culture and technology.

- Increased revenue budget from HCC not an option.
- Increased earned income and external funding decided as the best option.
