a) that the Acting Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Interim Head of Estates) be authorised to select the preferred purchaser on Parcel 2d Merton Rise, Basingstoke on the basis set out in the report; and
|

|
b) that the Acting Director of Property, Business and Regulatory (Interim Head of Estates) be authorised to settle detailed terms and conditions of sale, including any adjustment to the purchase price that may be agreed allowing for market conditions and following minor amendments to the scheme of development. |

The development of Parcel 2d, Phase 2 supports the Corporate Priority of enhancing our quality of place by providing a modern high-quality and attractive housing development.

Other options considered and rejected

Many high-quality development schemes were received but the preferred purchaser as recommended offers the strongest mix of sustainability, design and financial value together with greater certainty of delivery in challenging market conditions.
