1 Summary

1.1 The following decisions are required:

a) To note the current position on the monitoring of the 2008/09 Policy and Resources revenue budget and capital programme.

b) To agree the proposed amendments to the 2008/09 budget to reflect the net underspend of £63,000 carried forward from 2007/08

c) To agree an additional contribution of £6,000 towards the costs of maintaining the 101 non-emergency number during 2008/09, funded from balances.

2 Reason

2.1 Budget monitoring reports are submitted regularly to the Executive Member to review whether any action is required to deal with variations between planned and actual spending. The Policy and Resources revenue budget and capital programme includes financial resources for a range of direct services and for central services that support all other County Council services and as such contribute to each priority of the corporate strategy.
