Appointment to Outside Bodies - Vacancy on Swanmore Educational Charity

1 Summary

1.1 That the following decision is sought.

1.2 That Mr R.Cooksley be appointed to replace Dr. R. Smith CBE as the County Council's representative on the Swanmore Educational Charity for the remainder of the four-year period expiring at the annual meeting of the Council in May, 2009.

2 Reason

2.1 Dr. R. Smith OBE the existing County Council representative wishes to resign as he has moved out of Swanmore Village and has decided the time has come for him to step down as a Trustee.

2.2 It has been suggested by the Trustees that Richard Cooksley take Dr. Smith's place as the County Council's representative. Mr. Cooksley is aware of this and supports this proposal.
