1 Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
Welcomes the positive outcome of the Hampshire Fostering Service inspection and approves the action plan in place to respond to the stated good practice recommendations.
2 Reason
2.1 This decision supports the following Hampshire County Council priorities:
"Making Hampshire safer and more secure for all" - by enabling some of our most vulnerable children to lead positive lives, cared for by a stable and permanent family
"Maximising well-being" - by enabling children to experience a good quality family life so that they can achieve their maximum potential.
2.2 The inspection of Hampshire's Fostering Service has acknowledged there are many positive aspects of service delivery which benefit children and young people who use the service. It identified some good practice improvements in order to develop and promote a stable family placement for children.
