Appointment to Outside Bodies - Vacancy on Wield Educational Trust

1 Summary

1.1 That the following decision is sought.

1.2 That Mrs M. Avis be appointed to replace Rev. David Keighley as the County Council's representative on the Wield Educational Trust for the remainder of the four-year period expiring at the annual meeting of the Council in May, 2009.

2 Reason

2.1 Rev. David Keighley the existing County Council representative is retiring as a Trustee.

2.2 It has been suggested by the Trustees that Mrs Marina Avis take Rev. Keighley's place as the County Council's representative. Mrs Avis is a longstanding teacher at Preston Candover Primary School and knows well the majority of the children that are helped by the Trust. She is aware of and would be happy to undertake this role.
