1) Summary

The following decisions are proposed:

1.1. That authority be given to conclude negotiations for the sale of approximately 0.96 ha (2.37 acres) of surplus land at Langstone Road, Havant, following revised proposals from the developer, conditional upon a transfer to the County Council of replacement open space land already identified at Southmere.

1.2. That the Acting Director of Property Business and Regulatory Services (Interim Head of Estates) be authorised to settle the detailed terms of the transaction.

2) Reasons for the decision

2.1. A new use for this land as proposed in the report would create employment opportunities whilst generating a significant capital receipt to support the County Council's programme of front-line services to maximise wellbeing.
