1) Summary |
The following decisions are sought: |
1.1. That the Executive Member for Recreation, Heritage and Communities approves the strategic direction being taken to ensure the future of the adult and family learning service in Hampshire. |
1.2. That the Executive Member for Recreation, Heritage and Communities accepts the summary recommendations of the report. |
1.3. That the Executive Member for Recreation, Heritage and Communities approves the County Council's/Learning and Skills Council's 3 Year Development Plan for 2008-11 in order to secure Learning and Skills Funding for the year 2008-09. |
2) Reasons for the decision |
2.1. To outline recommendations towards building a strategy to achieve a vibrant adult learning service across Hampshire. |
2.2. The strategy will support all three of the Corporate Priorities as follows: · Hampshire safer and secure for all - by promoting good community relations through creating local learning partnerships. · Maximising well-being - by providing a full range of quality learning opportunities. · Enhancing our quality of place - by enabling local delivery of services in support of sustainable communities. |
