1) Summary |
The following decision was made: |
1.1 That a single tender be negotiated for a 2 year contract with each of the residential providers as outlined in appendix 1:- · 20 contracts with an expiry date of 31 March 2009 · 7 contracts with an expiry date of 30 June 2009 |
2) Reasons for the decision |
2.1. The strategic review will inform the commissioning plans and will enable partnership working with the residents, carers and providers to identify and develop new ways of providing services, that meet the desired outcomes of service users. |
2.2 This reports supports the Corporate Strategy aims of Hampshire, Maximising Well Being and Enhancing our Quality of Place by promoting the numbers people, who will have access to a range of supported living schemes, based on the principles of personalisation. |

No other options were considered viable because of the need to have interim measures in place with existing specialist providers, whilst a strategic review is being carried out. |
