Transport in the Community

To undertake an in depth scrutiny review

(Committee delegated the review to scrutiny review group ; first meeting held in March 2007. Committee received progress updates during 2007/08. Review slipped three months following 'live' sessions in September/November 07 due to higher priority given to Lyndhurst scrutiny.) Review report received and accepted by Committee in April 2008. Recommendations communicated to the Executive in June; response received and considered by the Committee in July. Monitoring of outcomes by the Committee to take place at Select Committee meetings during 2008/09.

Lyndhurst Bypass

To undertake a scrutiny review

Chairman

(Scrutiny review group set up and review progressed during 2007/08.) Reported to March 2008 Cabinet, and report received by the Committee in April 2008. Partial Executive response received in June; full response requested in September in order that Committee can agree which outcomes to monitor.

The state of Hampshire Roads

To undertake a light touch scrutiny

Chairman

(Timetabled for last quarter of 2007/08, but slipped to 2008/09, due to other priorities.) Took place on 11 June 2008; recommendations communicated to the Executive Member in June; response awaited. Monitoring of outcomes by the Committee to take place subsequently.
